Ooh...Tuesday Tipple: The Citrus Marmalady

Whilst in Chester last year we stayed at the truly amazing Oddfellows hotel, a unique find in the Tudor town. The hotel has an eclectic mix of styles from indoor trees, dining tables on the ceiling, typewriters on the walls to the height chart in the garden.

It was here we met the wonderful bartender Mattias, he created some delicious drinks for us over our two day break its a wonder we managed the stairs! He also kindly introduced me to the wonder of Chase Marmalade Vodka, such a wonder in its pretty patterned bottle!!

It was here I had a cocktail I like to call Citrus Marmalady, a zingy mix of Lime and Chase Marmalade vodka and a true delight to drink! I have played around slightly with measures to suit my tastes and memory of the ingredients Mattias used that night.

The Citrus Marmalady

Ingredients

1 Whole Lime(cut into 4 wedges)
1/2 tsp Caster sugar
2 shots of Chase Marmalade
1/2 shot Sugar Syrup
Ice (Crushed)

Method

In a low ball glass place 3 of the lime wedges into a glass
Add the sugar, and the sugar syrup and muddle together to crush the limes until sugar is dissolved.
Top glass with the crushed ice
Pour over the two shots of Chase Marmalade and stir
Add last lime wedge to garnish

Enjoy!
